McKee, Voorhees & Sease Providing Assistance During the COVID-19 CrisisApril 3, 2020 As all of us in Iowa are dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak, MVS is joining in to help those affected by this crisis and show our appreciation to our healthcare workers while supporting our local businesses. Several of our attorneys are volunteering to staff the hotline created by Iowa Legal Aid, The Iowa State Bar Association and Polk County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project as announced by Governor Kim Reynolds. This hotline was setup to help Iowans tackle legal issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, MVS is providing 100 meals, prepared by the Main Street Café in Ankeny, to the Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines to feed those on the front lines of fighting this virus. “This a small measure of our immense appreciation for all that our healthcare workers do in helping everyone who has been affected by COVID-19” said Heidi S. Nebel, Managing Member of MVS. “It is their generosity and selflessness that will help all of us make it through this crisis and we are eternally grateful to everyone at Broadlawns and all medical facilities across the state of Iowa.” MVS would encourage all legal professionals across the state to reach out and help in your own way to aid others. To volunteer for the legal hotline contact ISBA Director of Innovation and Outreach, Virginia Sipes at vsipes@iowabar.org. Please indicate your areas of practice in the email.
