Celebrating National Farm Animals Awareness WeekSeptember 18, 2020

As we celebrate National Farm Animals Awareness Week, we applaud our clients who represent universities and businesses worldwide in matters involving cattle, swine, and poultry, among others. The work we do with our clients helps ensure the health and well-being of these animals and includes work done in gene editing, CRISPR, disease treatment, controlled release delivery systems, vaccines for viruses such as PEDV and TGEV, antigenic determinants, biodevices, immunogenic compositions, feed mixers, feeding stations, ear tagging equipment, building ventilation systems and gestation pens.

As we close out this post, we thought we would share some interesting facts concerning farm animals:

  • The only area of a pig’s body that sweats is its nose.
  • Cows come home faster when Elvis sings.
  • Chickens recognize and communicate with other chickens.
  • Additionally, chickens use over 200 distinct sounds for communicating.
  • Not only can goats swim, but they’re really good at it, too.
  • Geese are faithful for life. They even mourn when a mate dies.
